I guess the first place to start is to check the simple things like fuses and relays, check all the earthing points are good and clean, look for any obvious broken wires etc.
Was it all working before, have you had the loom out?

Hi there yes the loom was out got repaired and completely retaped then put back in, ive noticed I've got a single wire hanging behind the clock area it's two coloured red and blue I think(colour blind) but it has a yellow rectangular connector on the end but can't find out where it's goes and if it's anything to do with some of my issues?!?!

Do you have all the earth straps installed properly? Big earth cable running from battery to started motor bolt?

Do you own a multimeter? If not pop down to halfrauds or Maplins and get your self a cheap one as they are an invaluable tool for problems like this.

I think all the earth straps are in place, if I went to get a multi meter I wouldn't know how to use it?! Ha ha! Does any one know what the single two coloured wire behind the dash of for its got a yellow rectangle plug on it?

Cheers mate really appreciate it, been a long old slog was hoping to get a couple of weeks left of this years summer to drive her again but don't think that will happen now... Oh well there's always next spring I suppose, how do you think she's looking a lot better than when it was stripped down I'm hoping?!

Wow. Stunning.

I'm in the middle of putting one back together and was wandering where you got the sunroof trim and headlining from

Thanks everyone for the comments it's been a real labour! The electrics are giving me a real hard time(push cigarette lighter in and the back wiper goes?!?!) the head lining I found on eBay by mistake!!?it was brand new old stock from a ford dealer in Glasgow came in the ford box the lot stamped sept 89! Got it for £35 buy it now!!! The sun screen was the original one out the car as was the grey trim round it, hoping my mate how sorted the loom can come from London ASAP to sort as it's kicking me right in the nuts!

Superb work!

Wiring definitely sound like earthing problem (amongst other things).
