short shift?
Has anyone tried to modify standard shifter to through gears quicker on RST? I have an Idea to do so, but I bet someone has done this before, so please share what is good or bad with the Idea. Thanks

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
There is a DIY kit available from rally design for about £70 iirc
I used it on my fiesta track car , simple to fit and worked well
Cheers

Is the Puma linkage not the way to go? Heard so many good things...small issue to fit in the sense you need to drill two new holes, and it doesnt return to centre unless you put some springs on the rods, but other than that its meant to transform the gear change for the sake of £30-40

The Puma linkage feels great, but it doesnt make gear changes any quicker which is what the initial post was after (shorter throw yes but depends if this is what is classified as "quicker"). The syncro's/box design is pretty shite and it'll never be a "quick" box.
Above applies to B&M/Rallydesign diy kit also
