Brand new clutch slipping

Brand new clutch slipping
long time since i've posted in this room, when we built my S1, i fit a clutch i found in the cupboard as a gamble, it slipped..
So i bought a brand new LUK from Matt Lewis, fitted etc,
It slips when you load the car up, doesn't if you set off from a standing start, but if you say join motorway and put your foot down in 4th/5th to catch up with traffic, it slips
Car is standard completely bar a chipped ECU and 14psi of boost, which a standard clutch should cope with more than easily.
Flywheel is flat, cover plate & release bearing new when LUK fitted.
Any thoughts?

I can't help but I have the same problem but with a new 6 paddle? Which should be overkill for my set up flywheel was machined flat all fitted with complete kit for the clutch do they need bedding in? Got mixed answers doesn't slip all time same as yours catching up with traffic won't from start

clutch
needs a good clutch[uprated] on rst if modded well.
ok in lower gears but the torque kills it if pulling a high gear
i remember this from the 80s/90s
kinda different from the cossies which [certainly on 2wd] a std good clutch will take stage 3/greens etc

Had this problem with my fabia vrs which is running big torque. Fitted new Sachs DMF, clutch and slave and it used to slip in 5th and 6th gradually got worse and was worse than the original clutch I originally replaced. The slave popped last week so put a luk clutch and slave on, did 50 miles and it slipped slightly in 6th when on the a1 but put another 100miles on and it's now spot on. Don't know why the Sachs stuff slipped, I went for that because it was OE stuff but chances are it just needs bedding in. I'd never heard off bedding in a new clutch but has sorted mine and it's quite common too if you google it

Mine is an S2 item so 220mm, i thought it might be on it's limit but having had RST's in the past with a standard clutch, i thought it'd suffice.
The car's done about 1500 mile on the clutch so far.
So what are people using nowadays as a sub 200bhp clutch as i don't want to fit a paddle.

Not sure if your noticed my posts on RSOC mate but I had the same trouble, stage 1 MSD with standard clutch. Drove fine for 500 or so miles then as soon as it came on boost in 4th and 5th it slipped. Gearbox out, new LUK clutch and still slipped. Gearbox out again, flywheel skimmed, AP organic and pedal mod/alloy quadrant and finally I can drive it again!

I've not done the pedal mod what are the gains would it cause a uprated clutch to slip on a standard pedal?
Sorry to keep asking questions on your thread Andy

Without the adjustable pedal I`d of thought you would have selection problems , my pedal was nearly through the bulkhead to get a gear. It was either on or off, now it`s nice and smooth and selects gear HTH

Is there anyone here who has used a stock cover on a 4 paddle clutch as well as an organic clutch on a 200BHP Escort?
I ask as I am looking to change mine. Whilst I am aware that a 4 paddle probably will not last as long how they compare in feel etc? I understand that a stock covered paddle clutch will be , but judder slightly, but not as much as a full paddle clutch kit and be lighter to boot.
