Default Starter motor cooked

my starter is cooked on my erst,I've been told to replace it with one from a transit connect.is there any modifying involved?or bolt straight on?

Think it's fairly straight swap, I think there are two different connect starters so make sure you get the right one. Some also wrap the manifold to protect the starter.

litterally only just done this on mine, mine was a straight swap, wires and everything were direct fit, made a big difference, starts and turns over ever so quick no matter how hot, a big must for any rs turbo owner!

just done mine used diesel 1.8 one got to be one of the best mods I have done

Well,I bit the bullet this morning and bought a transit connect starter motor,bolted it on and what a difference!.took the car for a good run and kept pulling in every so often and turn it off and it fired straight up each time.Result!!thanks chaps and cheeRS!
