zetec turbo idling issue
Just wondering if any one can help me here, ive been running a 2.1zvh for about 3 years on OFAB with suitable chip, i've just converted to zetec again 2.1 with the same injectors, turbo, manifolds etc and the thing just idles at about 2000rpm, i cant find any air leaks and i've also cleaned the ISCV out which hasnt changed a thing, any ideas?

If you are on the same chip you really need a remap or Zetec turbo chip, the Zetec head and CVH head flow quite differently.
But just to bring your idle down try unplugging your ICV and set the idle around 600rpm (hot) using the throttle stop (you don't say what TB you have but I'm assuming it has adjustment).

Thanks for the reply Karlos, i've unplugged the ICV and it does idle quite low but mantains idle speed, i've actually got an OFAM ecu, Rob has put a basemap on it for me i wonder if its worth fitting that to see if it makes a difference? You map these dont you? its a fiesta turbo throttle body
