Help with brakes
Yes I have searched and searched and can't find a full answer.
Looking to completely redue the brakes. I have cossie front and rear calipers, have a res bottle from an xr3i and plan to buy a bias valve. I dumped the abs and load valve.
I'm a little lost how to plum it all in. I know to got from back port to bias to a t piece and then the rears but can't figure out the front line set up. Please help!

Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
Got this set up on my RS s1 turbo .....
Saph Cosworth 2wd front and rears to match..
Was running for a while with the standard s1 pipe wrk inc the compensator valves to rears and the oe 22mm master cylinder etc etc ...brakes wer still dodgy ..lol...to much fluid for the 22 to push around the system ....
Swapped to a s2 rst 25mm master cylinder ...this has only 2 outlet's instead of the 4 on the oe mk3 s1 22 ....
So this is wot I did ...got new male and female 10mm by 1mm thread brake pipe ends .....plus 1 male 12mm by 1mm male end for the 1 outlet on the s2 25 mm master ( front brake outlet )....2 10mm by 1mm t piece fittings .....1 adjustable bias valve ( knob type with 10mm by 1mm fitment holes for brake unions ..alot seem to b 1/8 npt..)..roll of new brake pipe...3/16 iirc...standard size jobby.....
Took all brake pipes. Off s1 inc rear compensators and bracket ....fit 25 mm master cylinder to slave cylinder ...fabricate new pipes for front brakes which both go to 1 of the t pieces on the from bulk head in engine bay ..then from their to the 12mm outlet on master ......2nd outlet for rear brakes ( 10mm )...from master round bulk head in engine bay to wer the oe rear compensators used to b to the aftermarket bias valve is mounted ( made a mounting plate ) ..then from that single line down the underside by the fuel line to the end of the floor pans wer the other t piece is fitted for a line each for left and right rear disc calipers ....since all the oe brake pipes wer taken off copied the shapes / profiles to suit the direction wer the r situated on car ..sprayed up to finish off in green to match oe .....bleed system .....set up bias valve on a m8's rolling brake tester ( mot garage ) ...jobs a good un ...car now stops on the button ........other alternative is to use a mondeo servo / master cylinder with a Vauxhall corsa 2 to 4 way valve ...bit more fabricating needed with the brake bar and the servo mounting plate though ....

Its in the S2 section, I made a detailed reply to the thread.
Either way you'll only need to use 2 t pieces the front fitted to the o/s wing, the rear t piece can be fitted near the rear suspension crossmember(cant remember correct name), simply t piece it on the o/s and route the n/s across the above panel and up onto the rear chassis leg.
On the other hand you can t piece the rears on the n/s wing and route 2 pipes underneath as normal, and going either way as the handbrake cable is(standard routing)
Just remember, the bias valve needs to be installed before t-piecing otherwise you'll need 2 of them and you'll need to set both up to match eachothers setting. If going bigger discs at the front set the bias valve roughly 40-45% to the rear.
You can see how the bias valve adjustment works before fitting it, you could set it at 50% then adjust as needed(MoT station can advise efficiency on their roller).

At the rear, you can see i've binned the rear load compensators and installed the genuine Ford brake pipe clips into the holes that was already there. I may of added one hole for a clip(im sure you can see 3 of the clips)
As I'm running a cone filter, I installed my bias valve in the standard box location. If you want to run with the box consider installing the bias elsewhere. some run them inside next to the handbrake.

so basic is I need to manually alter it when there is weight in the rear but I could always split the rear lines before the compensators ?

There are a few ways to change the brake set up if you felt the need to. For example use a 3i set up as this have valves that sit in the engine bay or could use online values for each rear that sit in each rear arch or use a bias like mark has in his pics or you could just leave it and do nothing. Reason I'm changing was my orginal ones were falling apart with rust so decided to go with a bias.
