Default Clutch

we have gone to change my clutch this morning because it was slipping under boost and the clutch plate looks fairly new!is there anything that could be causing the slip?

too much power for the clutch-or a weeping seal/contamination??

The clutch was dry as a bone and no signs of any leaks.

What sort of clutch is it and what spec is the engine?

The engine is a 2.0 zvh and the clutch we took out is stamped valeo?sorry I can't be more specific but I'm no mechanic!

Valeo is just a standard clutch as far as I'm aware. Unless they do a uprated version.

As above, sounds like a boggo standard clutch. And ZVH's tending to produce a fair chunk of torque will overcome this. Time to uprate

4paddle helix or ap using a custom pressure plate made to fit your flywheel and bearing.

need to order it through a deceny company tho for discounts etc.

What Jano said although I believe some here are used a stock cover and bearing.


I have a Helix 4 paddle with the Helix cover. Jesus it is horrible to use. I understand that the above setup is far more forgiving.

I've got a 6 paddle and standard cover and its spot on, nice and light, not snatchy, little judder but I don't think vibratechnics gearbox mounts help.

So it's a toss up between 4 paddle and six paddle then?ive had a paddle clutch before and didn't like it much!!!!
