drained the gearbox oil with a suction tool, was like brown watery when it came out.

filled with haynes recommendation, used EP80w carlube, filled to drain hole till it slightly ran out, then sucked a little bit out so it wasn't too full, now i have problem with getting 1st gear and 3rd gear knocks itself out on a bump when off the gas.

A friend has said now its got thicker oil in it its highlighted a problem that was already there but hidden with thinner oil hiding worm synchs etc.

So I'm wondering what to do, put thinner oil back in lol, and find out what oil others have used in the box?
