Are there different springs. I cant see that being the reason as if it was the springs they wouldn't be any good for anything what so ever as they are stupidly soft

Take them off the car and remove the springs and see if the shocks compress and rebound properly looks like they are not that is why they are so bouncy they look like they are just bouncing on the springs.

Are they 6 month old or only been used for 6 month? i imagine they will have a shelf life.

Defiantly look odd oven on the soft setting i would want to see less bounce that that, and you say adjusting the top makes no difference then i would be inclined to strip them down and see whats what.

I don't think it'll be the springs. I had 180lb rears on mine, which is soft, and they didn't bounce around when you rocked the car like that.

The cynic in me would say that he knew the dampers were shot.

Unless the spring rates were too hard (in which case I doubt you'd be able to press the car down much) I doubt the springs would cause an issue. If they were too soft the car will still come to a rest.

First and foremost I would do as RS Stu said .

Bit of advice he does't want to pay for rebuild so wants me to send them back and then he will refund my money but would you send them back before you had refund or wait till you have refund then send them off as i dont trust him and dont want to send them back and get no refund and lose coilovers aswell even tho they do need rebuild. Also who should pay for postage back to ireland me or him

Once you send them back you have to put the tracking details on eBay. Once they show as delivered you will get your refund. Return postage is down to the buyer.

On ebay it says return postage is down to the seller, if not as described or broken

I know you've been sold them incorrectly but tbh with the cost of a refurb you've still got them at a great price. Surprised they sold for as cheap as £120 if stated they were in good condition. I'd ask for a little towards a refurb Is all if they were mine.

Already asked him to do that but he said until i tell ebay the problem has been sorted he wouldn't send money to refurb them and i will as soon as i have money as i didnt want to say it had been sorted and then him not send me the money as i would of had no come back as dont trust him now after saying they were fine. What really made me laugh was the fact he said they were fine when he sent them
