Instrument Cluster Help
Hi all,
As some of you know, I have bought a poverty spec Ford Orion 1.3OHV. Its a right crapper of a spec!
Long story short, I sourced an instrument cluster (with rev counter etc), as my one is the one with the clock in (pic below)
Obviously looking at the back of the clusters, there are different plugs between the two units.
Does any one know how much work is actually involved in swapping over from my clocks to the higher spec ones?
I have included some pics below;
This is whats in the car
This is the back of the new cluster
Thank you for any help!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Don't know about the wiring side of things, but, once you get all the screws, nuts etc holding it together, from memory of doing mine years ago, gently prise the circuit board plastic off the contacts and you reveal the screws holding the dials to the instrument panel. This is going back to when I put white dials in my RST, so shows how long ago that was!?

It'll all come apart, like I said, don't see it being a problem fitting different gauges, I just don't know how the wiring differs?
Also, don't know if the senders are different, for the early/late fuel gauges (where it's temp gauge on the left of the fuel gauge/vice-versa)
Sorry, been a while since I've owned/worked on a mk4...

I know it can be done but can't find the correct info as to what needs doing/changed...I have a loom from a Orion Ghia or ERST or something here which has the correct connections, but thats going to be a mission in itself to fit all of that as I don't think ill be going CVH turbo

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I did the one in my brothers old Orion. I piggybacked the higher spec connectors in line with the old. Most of the wires are the same colour, ran a new wire for the Rev counter to the coil. ChecK the haynes manual for the remaining wires.
