Default More advice for a late night thought Ive had.

Evening,

Im sitting pissing about on t'internet, and Ive a concern about my head which im fitting on saturday.

Forgive me if this seems stupid, but, I have a Kent CVH31, 1mm larger inlet valves, and a very light skim done on my head, running standard pistons.
I intend to set the cam to standard TDC just to get it running, and let my tuner sort the vernier pulley on the dyno.

Will there still be enough clearence between pistons and valves with the cam and bigger valves?.

If this is stupid, its been a long day, and im very tired.

Yes. But all you need to do and should do anytime the belt comes off, is turn the engine over by hand with spark plugs removed after you have done what you need to do.

this way if any valve is going to touch a piston you will feel it while turning over by hand. Once its ready to start worst ways if you have done something wrong you wont be bending valves.

The best way to learn this mistake is by others not on your head hey.

Also a cvh31? Whats that ? Haven't used or even heard of one. Not saying it doesn't exist tho.

Good idea on turning it by hand. Ive a boroscope I can watch it with too. Sometimes the simple answer are the most obvious.
