Default S1 Suspension

Hi All,

Anyone know where i can source a pair of front mounts for a S1 Turbo? I mean the rubber mounts that screw on to the front of the tie bars with the bolt through and mount on to the front anti roll bar plates. The rubber is dosed and probably wont pass MOT this year.

I think i can get them from ford at £60 + vat each but does anywhere else do them?

Thanks in advance?

In your shoes I would either go to SuperFlex/SuperPro or genuine Ford. Both will last quite a while (SuperFlex lasting longer than Ford) and not make things too harsh.

I used rose joints from mcgillsmotorsport.
A lot cheaper than the standard bushes and a lot stronger!!

Thanks for the replies everyone. Its the thinner anti roll bar which i think is the S1 version. I thought these ends were a manufactured part and the bush couldnt be replaced. The rubber on mine is split and the wires are hanging out. I thought you had to screw the old ones off and screw the new ones on. Had priced them in Ford a few years back but apparently they are not available any more!

Do rose joints not make it very bumpy Gadget?

The joint your talking about is pretty much a rose joint as standard and the rubber boots you say are split are dust covers

Mine failed on the same thing, if you buy ball joint rubbers and make them fit, they look factory when fitted, have a pic somewhere.
