OK, some people say they fit without any rubbing issues, some say they don't.

Car is lowered 25mm - will they or won't they ? I'm not rolling arches or shaving archkits to get them to fit either, complete non event. Rarely have anyone else in the car with me and if I do it's as front passenger, rears never get used. Wouldn't bother me putting standard height springs back on if it meant a total non-contact fit.

Thankingyoukindly

As I said Andy I'll put back to standard ride height if it helps, but I'm not cutting archkits or rolling arches for any rim ! If that's the case I'll leave the standard rims on and maybe put them on something else.

205/40's are what I'd plan to use use.

I'm running 195/40/17 Falken ZE912 tyres on my 7.5 17” Azev A’s they are sightly stretched tyres they look good and handle well on my rs and its been lowered by 35mm, I've had no rubbing issues at the front or rear arches even with passengers on board, I highly recommend those tyres if I had a picture I would post them up I will see if I get time.

They are 8j wide

I had to slightly roll the arches.

Handling is rubbish but no scrubbing.

You should be okay on 195s tbh

I just remembered when I done the rear cossie disc conversion I noticed it did push the rims out a bit which was one of the reasons why I went for the 195/40/17

Rubbed very slightly on mine when 4 up and you hit a bump in the road but general driving about with a passenger or 2 they were fine.

It's likely I'll fit them, but may well go for 195's as opposed to 205's to give myself a bit of 'headroom'.

Cheers for the advice and pictures chaps - very much appreciated

Good choice mate I'm sure you can lower it by a good 40mm and not have any issues what so ever even with a full car, gonna have to show us the pics once you have fitted them will be nice to see how they look.
