newbee here, hello all
Hi all,
just joined the forum and wanted to say hello and introduce my self.
knocking on 40 years young I have just bought another toy in order to re live my youth, a g-reg s2 rs turbo. to be fair the body and car are in fair shape but the motor (oh my god the motor) is in a bad way.
drove it to base about 7 miles with a thick cloud of smoke behind me that filled two lanes, at this point I expected a broken piston and a very poorly engine, pulled the lump and stripped it down to individual bits, WOW! i've rebuilt some classic performance lumps in my time but never seen anything like this, certainly nothing that still runs. bent rods, broken pistons, thrashed out crank, scored block, cracked head, the list goes on!!!!!
so here we are, just wanted to say hello and if its ok with yaall im gonna need to start posting some wanted ads.

Back on the road, Another one saved!
So here she is, Back on the road and running well.
Since my last post ive rebuilt the full motor with a few suttle trick bits, fitted refurb wheels with T1r tyres, new bonnet and doors, new lights all round, replaced front bumper, standard parcel shelf, removed the ABS, rebuilt the turbo, new alt and starter, loads-loads more....
Been out today for first time and its a true joy to drive, Runs reeeeaal well only minor prob I have is that every time I stop somewhere I get mithered to death! don't mind though, its good to see people are interested and all my effort was worth it.
Still running in but cant wait to open her up a bit!, Im running 16 psi, kent cam, super chip, induction kit and hybrid turbo. not looking to set any land speed records, just wanted a daily drive with a bit of punch when needed (just for laughs)
anyway at the start of my original thread I said I would post results so here she is
Cheers....Mike

Thanks Yeh it is clean, not mint but still very nice, the plan was to build a daily driver that I dare park up at the shop without having to panic about it. im gonna run it every day so job done - its real nice within what I could afford to come up with but not to special where its the end of the world if it gets a bit hurt
