Default turbo exhaust housings (t3)

my stage 3 turbo has shit a seal, however I have a newly built stage 2 that im now using. I was hoping to fit the .48 housing onto the stage 2 (stage 2 has 55 trim) but no matter what I do, the stage 2 turbne wheel catches the .48 housing. ive given up now and decided just to use the stage 2 as is but I thought t3's housings were interchangeable. can anyone explain??

A photo would help mate?
Why did your stage 2 have a 55 trim comp wheel that's unusual?

Housing might just need a bit of machining, mine did, Wilky sorted it for me.

Stage 2 normally has a 50 trim wheel that's the only reason I ask.
A pic of where it's hitting so we can see mate.

EDIT: Sorry I misread your first post, you say the comp wheel is hitting the .48 turbine housing?! How is that possible, I think you might be confusing your housings mate?
Sounds like your trying to fit a standard comp housing on a larger comp wheel... I think?! lol

sorry I mean the turbine wheel is hitting the ex housing. im fairly sure the comp trim is 55 trim but I could be mistaken. the .36 goes on without issue, the .48 pinches/contacts the turbine wheel. im not sure which part of the wheel/housing are touching
