Default On the rollers

Hi just done an engine swap from a 1.3 to an RS turbo and reworked the wiring loom and made my own fuse box system and relay and changed a few things about. Theres a few things to check on the car but have a miss fire when revving the car almost like a anti-lag system .

I think its just the ignition timing and with that in mind a rolling road set up needed. Live in Thirsk North Yorks and was wondering who to use around here ? I know theres Motorscope but just wanted to know what people thought round here and who to use and they want just shy of 200 for a set up which i think is a bit nuts !

i'm also in the same boat. There's a couple at durham. Nobody i know has used them so can't advise. My mate took his saph cossie to motorscope and won't be going back for whatever reason (disagreement with owner ) . So it seems like a steady ride to blackpool to motorsport developments for me .There highly regarded in the ford world, unless there's anybody closer with a good reputation ?

Yer they call the owner Richard (Pock ) for short he is up himself like and seen bad things on rallys we do but have heard he is good with RS turbos and not far away thats the drama i guess. i thought about maybe retarding the timing to get it running enough for MOT and then drive to blackpool like you say or risk it at motorscope, i do think its bloody dear tho what they charge !

Ł200 aint bad at all for a set up on a dyno imo.

my advice is forget the mileage and just go to whoever is the best at setting up your spec of rst.

Hi Muz yes i did thanks so much, havnt been on here for ages but yes got it all sorted just before i read your PM, thanks tho. the whole care is wired and running and alot better now for racing, cage in and some daft mods like the astra digi dash which is good for the track to speed entry into corners but made a pulse converter to deal with speedo issues been incorrect but now perfect. all painted in a pearl blue and got some BMW wheels on it lol looks good to be honest, like i say has a missfire but thinking just needs a set up as everything else is spot on, i woul put a picture on here but never worked how to do it. Love yours tho mate, mine is abit more ready to race than show like yours but hat off to you fella alot of top effort there, you would make a good lad to build rally cars with.

Thanks lads, your confidence in me means more than I can explain in a short sentace.

This is why word of mouth is priceless over expensive adverts that the customer has to pay for in the long run.

I dont offer work via pf.com out of respect and curtisy to other traders and to keep the peace. I will of course go out my way to help anyone and by all means you can contact me.

Much love all..
jano.

I cant discuss it openly here what I will do, as Jay the moderator loves to get involved in every convo and will no doubt want to hold something against you or me for it thats the problem with pf you cant offer advise without jay taking it the wrong way.
