Default Wheel colour thoughts

Have a lovely minty set of Gold Monzas but the tyres are ancient so bought these white ones.
The 16" Monzas barely clear the brake calipers so I prefer these 17's but hate them in white.
After much head scratching, anthracite, black ( look like black holes on a red car, I photoshop'd this.
Powder coater can't do an exact match so will have to be sprayed.
Was going to test spray one but the synthetic red I used on the underside has changed colour and a slight mismatch would look plain sh--!

Its down to personal preference. I bought a set of softlines for my S2 in anthracite , went mad to change them to silver ,so i did . I NOW WISH I'D LEFT THEM. I thought the same when taking a pic of the car , the wheels look like black holes.

Not a fan of the red. I think having wheels the same colour as the car looks naff and thats if the colour match is perfect, if its slightly off it will look even worse.

I had the same wheels in white (16"), fancied a change and ended up with silver.

If it was mine I would do them anthracite as dark wheels on a red car look ace, well IMO anyway

Seen anthracite Oz wheels on a top spec red Lancia Integrale(was an absolutely gorgeous looking car) years ago and my mate had anthracite on his red cayman.
Think Porsches in pastel look great with wheels the same colour but suppose an erst's no quite a porsche.
Loved the gold wheels but too many spokes and you couldn't get a fag paper between the rims and the brembo calipers.
Will leave it for now as it's not likely to needs wheels till next year
