Brake problem!
Evening all, I've got a problem with the front brakes on my series 2. The brakes on the car worked fine (4x4 calpipers, 2wd discs) then it went into storage for approx 18 months.
I took it out for mot and the caliper on n/s/f was sticking so I removed it, wound it in and out a few times and done, or so I thought. Got it MOTed and managed to do a whole 54 miles before the MOT ran out! But in them few miles it felt like they was still sticking slightly. Obviously it spent most of the year in storage but two weeks ago I took it for MOT and again sticking caliper done the same thing as before (piston in, out clean up carriers) got MOT but they are still sticking.
So far I have checked calipers again pistons go in and out easy enough, cleaned up carriers and pads are not sticking, changed brake fluid, bled and re bled only by pumping pedal method, cleaned up sliders, checked one way valve, blew through one way only so working but I had to blow quite hard tho?
It's not sticking hard but wen I roll to a stop I can feel them grip and when turning it's worse? The brakes are work consistent but also the pedal is a bit slow in returning up? Any ideas appreciated before I start spending again! Thanks rob
