Default zvh fuel pump query

hello,i have not long put a new fuel pump on my zvh engined rs turbo and seemed to have developed a misfire when revving it up.Have i bought the wrong pump?it is just a standard bosch replacement,should i have gone for an uprated pump?any help would be greatfully received!!!!

Don't say the spec of your zvh, but a standard rst pump can fuel a pretty good amount tbh so its unlikely that

Saying that, if its a like for like replacement and you had no issues beforehand, then the pump wont be the issue. (presume you bought it from a reputable source as there are alot of fake Bosch about!!)

Nah, it wont be that. Did you change the filter when changing the pump? Why did you replace the pump in the first place?

The car has been off the road for four years and the pump sounded on its last legs so replaced pump,lines,filter,tank and a brand new relay.

I am restoring the car so anything I have come across that's rusty,knackered or missing I have replaced

Maybe you have disturbed something else? But I would check your are getting battery voltage to the fuel pump wiring, you will have moved this and potentially broken a few of the 25 year old brittle strands! lol Low voltage means low fuel pressure.

Now there's a thought,I have disturbed pretty much all of it so that will be my next port of call,thanks for that.

turned out that the pipe from the fuel pump to tank had degraded to the point it was kinked!new pipe,no more problems!
