Modified Series 2 running temperature.
As some of you know, Ive been having overheating issues of late, I finally got it all sorted by replacing every single item in the cooling system of the car.
Did the head gasket on Saturday, and Ive been out and about last couple of days putting some miles on her.
Left work this morning, and noticed car took a while to warm up, not too concerned by this, as Id rather have this than too hot. What did puzzle me though, was when I was able to open the taps on her, the temp went from 80 ish degrees down to 60 ish. Soon as I came off boost, temp went back to 80 and held there.
Car is running Airtec Alloy rad with full new water system and 190bhp with 222lbft.
Just thought Id ask some opinions on this, as I found it slightly odd.
Not that Im complaining after aggro Ive had with her recently.

Sound strange, which temperature gauge are you using? Anyway the temperatures are fine, but I doubt your temp reading. I would double check it
