S2 turns over too fast and wont start
Hi there, standard esrt...drove yeaterday fine, tried to start today and just turns over.
I realise it could be many issues but seemed strange that whilst trying to start it maybe 1 in every 4 starting tries the car turns over much faster than the other 3 (normal speed im used to) and noticed the rev counter doesnt move, when normal turnover speed I will see the rev counter move a little
Also im sure i can smell fuel in the rad expansion tank but the water looks fairly clear
Again it could be many things i guess but the difference in turn over speeds is something that is new today and the coincidence it wont start
Thanks for your time & any thoughts wlecome

Thanks for the reply CosworthGuy, the fast turn over was/is really worrying
update..
decided to check if i was getting a spark from plug1, so took it out and almost first crank the engine tried to start apposed to just turning over with all plugs in? (the plug was sparking)
so put the spark plug back in and this time it statred pretty much straight away but was missing quite bad for the first 10 or so seconds then ran ok'ish
seems a bit wierd that it wanted to start almost straight away when i took plug 1 out
