I would like to take the roof lining of my rs turbo s2 to see if there is any rust on the roof, what is the easiest way to get it off and is it an easy job to put back

You need to remove the 2 rear quarter glass windows also unscrew the handles in the roof ,remove the boot and door rubbers ,then peal the headlining away from the window and boot appertures carefully ,the rear of the headlining will then drop and you will see a metal rod (may be two metal clips holding it up remove these) ,you pull this to the front of the car and it will rotate down ,ease it out from one side and repeat the process on the other metal bars ,if you need to see more wind back the sunroof and remove the seal and the headlining around the sunroof can now come away,just reverse process to fit back in

my sunroof seems to be stuck closed as i havent opened it for a couple of years and whats the best way to get the rear windows out.

I can feel rot round the sunroof through the rooflining and I am too scared to even attempt this as it will just depress me!!
