Default Zetec sumps

Does anyone know if it's possible to fit a silver top sump to a black top without too much work ?

A friends got a Capri with a poorly silver top Zetec engine fitted so was looking to fit a black top engine in it's place but seen as it's in a Capri the original silver tops sump has been modified to suit the rwd set up so was looking to swap the silver top sump over lock stock & barrel onto the black top engine.

I think it's fine that way
It's when you put a black top on a silver top you need to do a little work

Yes it does, you may need the pick up pipe too (can't remember 100%).

You need the dipstick and tube also you need to have spacers made and the bolts from a silver top to fit the windage tray

All the webbing you see here needs grinding flush..

It doesn't look like much but takes ages and makes a right mess!
