Default Crank oil leak/ plastic cover?. (Pic Inc)

Hi, so Ive finished the winter fettle of my Series 2. Ive put 100 mile on her, and all is well, apart from quite a bad leak from the front crank oil seal.

On closer inspection, this plastic cover seems to be sitting cockeyed.

Im assuming Im gonna have to strip it all out and replace the seal etc, or can I just attempt to square this up and sort it?

The plastic covers always end up sitting like that. They don't seal anything, i bet the crank seal is sitting perfectly fine.
