Im looking into building a strong CVH bottom end...
Before ppl say it, i know i could go zetec turbo for similar if not cheaper money, but i like the CVH.
Anyone used these rods? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/for-Ford-F...item20d6addbdd
Also what pistons are people using for around 280-300bhp?
never used those rods..... although heard some bad things about Chinese rods lol
alota people are using wossner pistons....theres nowt wrong with a well built cvh as long as u have decent parts n a good engine builder
They will be fine. Most rods these days are produced in china, some of them are priced slightly higher so people assume they're better quality, but they all come from the same place. Farndon & Arrow rods are fantastic quality and made in this country, but their price reflects that.
As an example, Speckys 9 second Tigra used them at around 6-700bhp and never had a rod failure.
Thanks guys... I think i'll chance them or "williams" rods...
And standard pistons or low comp?
Standard pistons do not fit without machining so you may as well go Wossner (or similar) but stay standard CR, there is no need to lower it unless you want to go over 300bhp.
