Default pedal boxes ?

I'm at the point in my zetec turbo build where i want to start thinking about the brakes. I'm using focus rs mk1 front brakes and cossie 2wd rear discs and callipers. Have read a few bits on here sounds like theres a few options, either a floor mounted pedalbox, compbrake pedalbox that sits where the servo is or upgrade the servo ? I have read that some of the compbrake ones have failed but is this just down to the master cylinders they use ? If i used say wilwood cylinders would it be ok ? What have you guys done to yours ?

I run Focus Rs fronts (324mm) and ST170 rears (280mm) using 0.7 cylinder for the rear and 0.625 for the front (both Girlings) through a modified pedal assembly by http://www.arrowautoengineering.co.uk

Send him your pedal box, he'll modify it and sent it back. You can also have a hydraulic clutch if you wanted to on that as well. To have my pedal box modified for the above and a hydraulic clutch too was £200 plus post (this included balance bar and cylinders - basically just bolt it into the car).

I'm not associated with him, but have used him twice and had excellent service.

I've had a wildwood firewall mounted

Couldn't get a decent feel with the brakes
Changed all cylinders but felt horrible

Then got a Obp. People hate them but I have the older version and have had no issues at all
Works great. Dies what it says on tin

Miso onto be changing to a ap racing jobbie tho
Only reason being is that I got it at a song and I'm a brand whore lol

Yes you will loose both parts, you'll have 2 or 3 (if you go hydraulic clutch - which I would recommend, but you'll need to look at the other thread in the ERST area for the slave cylinder and how to fit that on a BC box in an ERST - the master cylinder will be part of the pedal box).

An no - this is for my Mk1 Fiesta. But the pedal boxes are similar. Send him an email, see what he says.
