Default Having a mare bleeding brakes on mk3

It's got cosworth 4 pots on front and disc conversion on rear. I tried bleeding them today and they felt pretty good n when I've started it up they were crap? Is there a specific way to do it. I started from furthest point back, do you need engine running when doing it or not?
Cheers

That would normally be fine yes, try a pressure bleeder if you can, or the MC seal may have failed, this sometimes happens when fitting new pads and the pistons are pushed all the way back without cracking the bleed nipples off first.

Wedge had same exact post a week ago, Id also removed the abs aswell so was still running all the abs m/c. It went to the floor when the car was started, I left it for a day, went back and bled again and a ton more air had worked its way to the end and the problem was gone, solid as a rock
