Default Manifold - Turbo Gasket

Anyone use a gasket between their exhaust manifold and turbo?
I run one and it has cracked and caused a loud exhaust blow, thinking of removing the gasket and just bolting the 2 together?

Never had one on mine. Never had any bother, aslong as the faces are not heavily pitted and are flat you should be fine.

Ive never used a gasket with my original manifold although I was recommended to use one with my old Auto Specialists tubular manifold.

Take it off, they waste of time and money. I had same problem. You can buy flange high temp paste if you really worried about leaking. You may find it leak a tiny bit when cold but once warm it will seal, without any gasket or flange paste. Nice uprated locking nuts do the trick.

If you do use a gasket get the thin steel one they work fine the normal type are crap and always fail in the end

I never run a gasket. the only time I did, it blew it to pieces first time on boost. two flattish surfaces are the better option even if there not 100%. once up to temp they should seal anyway unless there seriously warped
