Hi all. I have owned this car for about 2 years and spent a fortune on it. I know 95% of the spec but was wondering if anyone on here has ever owned it/worked on/seen it before??? Spoke to Karl Norris as he is up in that neck of the woods and it has one of his twin cossie front mounts on but he has dealt with so many over the years.

It was previously part of the Derbyshire RS owners club. Great car I will try and post some pictures as it looks great now.

Really want to know about the block, head , ecu and gearbox.

Probably a stab in the dark but thought I would try.

I will also try the RS owners club as well.

If anyone could help that would be great.

If you remember the younger, skinny Stuart in the parts dept, that was me? Had a white H reg S2 then the Saff.... Left there in 2002, moved away 2007. Used to go to Surrey an Middx meets all the time.

Ive probably seen you in there. I had an F reg Xr2 and got a few bits from there before it died

What are the Surrey and Middx meets like? Thought about joining up but wanted to get my S2 tip top first. Im almost there with it.

I've been looking for this car for the last 15 years of my life my dad owned it from 1995 it was always treasured by him washed and waxed stored in the garage every night even kept the original tyres on it eagle Rays 2 tyres he kept it completely standard it had the trip computer as standard the only reason he sold it was to buy his house it broke his heart and mine to but I doubt you would want to part with it

Hello just seen this post as i was browsing the net last night I used to in the ford scene not in a massive way but always loved the RST, anyways long story short lol I USED TO OWN G589YOO about 10 yrs ago when she had anthracite coloured wheels think they might of been the diamond cut ones but were sprayed anthracite.


Its absolutely fantastic to still see her going and on the road, the biggest mistake of my life car wise was letting her go! the car was and is amazing the best motor ive had.


I bought this motor when I was at ford fair many years ago with my bro when I saw it I knew that was the one, the guy I bought it from lived in MK and was into racing I think some sort of saloon car type racing but for hatchbacks? he was a young lad (as was I at that time).


from what I can remember the car had been supechipped trying to rack my brains it didn't have an intercooler it was something else u can use (cant remember the word) had a few chrome bits under the bonnet and was running 205bhp with print outs from the previous owner.
it had a quickshift and id had a new boost gauge fitted.


will try find some pics trouble is it was around the time that camera phones were turd and ive prob chucked it out but will have a look.


Would love to see it again one day maybe meet up at a show would be fantastic.

It had a Charge cooler and I had an Airtec alloy rad fitted cos the original had a hole in had it all fitted by RGS in northants.
