White smoke ..... Help
]Hey folks I'm new here ,
Right guys so I took ownership off a series 2 rst escort
I was told It has a zvh in it with efi
When I picked it up it was running fine that was a week ago , went out today started it and it's is smoking quite a lot off white smoke
Oil level ok coolant ok no misfires ect , checked the turbo for play and there is a very small amount off play on the impeller

reading your post it implies you hadn't driven it since a week ago, That would be the reason you have white smoke.... Condensation.
Post engine bay pics to confirm ZVH conversion.
Also if you are not on the RSOC forum join up, the Registar may have info on the car you don't know about.

I'll get photos soon , thanks for the reply that's what I thought a bit off condensation but this is mental amount off white smoke like can see the road it's parked on when running took it for a drive there went about 5 miles and it's still the same , also someone's wired the fan to run off the ignition seems dodgy I'm kinda thinking maybe head gasket , maybe turbo hmm

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
does is stink of oil? mine does same after 2-3 mins of starting then clears. in my case its the turbo I think. if it has no smell its probably condensation

Is there any oil in the header tank,or vice versa?i had a similar problem years ago and it turned out to be the headgasket.i did a sniff test and a cylinder leak down test just to be sure.

I went out today and checked the coolant it's ok
No creamy coloured gunk on the oil cap ,
Someone how ever has blocked off the ns side breather hole on the rocker cover with a bit off rubber pipe a jubilee clip and a bolt lol . So took that off and started it without it and it ran fine no white smoke , now I don't know if that was just coincidence or what hmmmm
