283 or 300mm willwood brakes?

Default 283 or 300mm willwood brakes?

Been looking at these willwood brake kits that are available, cant decide whether to go for the 283mm or 300mm size discs, has anyone had any experiences with these any pros n cons etc any advice would be helpful

Brakes = big as possible.

If you can fit 300mm then it's a no brainer. 16" wheels are the norm but some 4 pots will go under 15's at a squeeze.

Av got wilwoods at front wae 283 mm discs and need 16s...only tried gti wheels and turbo wheels on 15 size but so may get a set to fit if need must be

i had 300 willwood 4 pots under 15" team dynamic pro race 3 no problem

Is it worth spending more on the 300mm kit?

I doubt my standard s1 rims will fit over them then, im wonderin if my 16" rs 7 spokes will?

Just make sure the caliper sent is for vented discs, not solid discs. Check fitment with pads in the caliper and see if the disc will slide between them.

Also what online store are you thinking of buying them from?

I got mine from burton power, and sent them back due to above problem. I had to wait about a month for them to come as Wilwood are a USA company.... They fu#ked up, not Burton Power.

Looking at rally design, i try n avoid burton heard too many unsavioury stories about them

the 283mm are vented discs the 300mm are bells and rotors with different calipers !!
u need 16s to clear them I run them on mine work spot on and were supplied by burtons about 5 years ago :O
