Are they the same as focus rs calipers, been told they are. Can get some cheap so was going to see if I can 'make' them fit my escort with some focus rs discs

I no the fiat runs a 305 mm disc.

They are the same.

I'm running them on my S2 from a FRS.

I think the caliper is physically the same size, but the callipers have different sized pistons.

I am going to go against the grain here (after owning a couple of cars with Brembo brakes).

As great as they look I would look to another brake conversion or to make your existing setup better (be it a combination of better fluid, pads and callipers and discs from another Ford).

When the Brembos work they are great. However, Plate lift (which affects any Brembos with plates present for the pads to slide on) can increase refurbing costs, and even at home they can be a pain (the bolts which hold in the plates tend to seize in). Naturally you can live with them but the issue will always be there (you can grind down the backing plates to make the pads fit but there will always be a breaking point (and in this case a squealing point no matter how much grease you try to shove in).

Of course if you are after willy waving rights, then play on .
