Default Anyone built a N/A ZVH? Results?

Anyone done one? I've got a 2.0 in the barn but can't be bothered with the hastle of looms, swapping fuel tanks etc right now and I think my bottom end has run out of puff. Just seems a bit gutless.

Was thinking about banging my 2.0 bottom end on one day and just running a 2.0 ZVH with a standard Weber carb and a different cam.

personally i'm not a zvh fan as you have to block oil ways etc so some parts of the block/head will get hotter then in the original design but it does still work so i see no reason why an n/a one wouldnt work so long as fueling, ignition and compression ratio are good 8)

i built one before they go well for what they are in the end i put a ported and polished head cam and twin 40's on it. its a good cheap power increase with out going to the hassle of turbo's and injection

if you have the complete zetec it would be far easier to use "hybrid edis4" as found on mk3 fiestas etc (red module with built in map sensor) And then you can carb the zetec. the edis only requires a live and earth, and is a far more modern and reliable ignition solution than your distributor, building a zvh is reasonably in depth, bolting the 16v in and adding an edis module and carb is far easier, and ultimatly more powerfull and reliable, although not without its technicalitys of course, but then you wouldnt take on a project like this if you didnt like a challenge!

That's interesting about the EDIS module. I will look into that. Otherwise I could skim the max off the CVH head without valve contact to raise the compression.

As the CVH head has larger combustion chambers wouldn't the compression ratio be lower than a standard Zetec? Not higher?
