why not just put ms2 on it! its about £300 and does way more than your standard cossie setup.

cossie management is far better then the standard MFI setup, however i wouldn't bother! why spend just over a grand on parts that come of a 20 year old car!... you can get newer/ more inproved aftermarket management for around the same price!
i brought my Pectel T2 for £900 with all sensors, injectors and ready made loom all you need then is fitting (you can do yourself - easy) then a mapping session which is around £300-£500
but you have to learn to walk before you can run!... get it on EFI manifold and get your basics like FMIC, and cam ect

i have been in both cars with pectel and cossie managment and i found the car with cossie management so much smoother and nicer to drive and a load better on cold starts ect than the pectel.but i know what your saying about price and things.but you can get all new sensors ect for cossie management aswell.just not the ecu.

as long as everything on the circuit boards all all right then yea mate lol.there quite a few people round me with cossie managment and they never have problems.and with cossie managment you will be able to sell it on for the same money but dont pectel ecu's lock or something?dont know if thats true or not??but i supose there lots of things to consider, are you going to map it yourslf? if so your not going to be using weber or pectel.what does your tuner prefer to work with ect.

Oh dont get me wrong im not dissing cosworth management its far from crap, just think its more cost effective to buy something newer! also with aftermarket managment if i spank/ break my car and then decided to build a vauxhall or something then i can still use the ecu for the new project!
As for locking, you can send it back to pectel and get it unlocked - once unlocked it never needs doing again!

well the pectel just was'nt mapped well enough they should both drive the same i went down the cossie management route if you want to run coil packs anti-lag, launch control etc you have to pay for all the extras, when on most modern ecu this is all standard you cant run a 36-1 crank pickup, have to run a phase sensor........ if you dont want to run big power jano setup with the pectel board is excellent but it limits you on injectors, why not try gotech, omex, pectel, emerald, gems, wolf, vems even megasquirt

completly know what your saying mate. genuine question-how come jano's setup limits you on injectors?also when i spoke to a tuner about it he mentioned if you was also wanting to use the car everyday the weber set up would be alot nicer to drive with compared to the pectel system.

surely on weber you can run any injectors that a cosworth can? considering most people run it on 1.6cvh's etc I can't see injectors as an issue

Rite I'm mega confused, whats a pectal board, the reason from me wanting new management is to Finlay sort out all this over fueling shit once and for all and to have the potentially to runn 250 bhp

pectal board goes inside the ecu, its factored into jano's conversion parts cost

limits injectors sizes you have to use the normal range to injectors ie blues, greens and greys when you are running big power the cvh/zetec dont burn fuel as efficiently as a cosworth engine so you wont get 350bhp on greens like a cosworth can, i maxed out my greens @ 310 you plus they have a poor spray pattern, you cant run siemens 750cc 850cc etc without a live map, modern injectors fuel aromatization is far superior to the old style injectors.... the map on the pectel board cossie management systems is only custom and live... the pectel board takes all the hard work out of mapping, the good thing is for the map wont take long and will be a reasonable price which will work for the majority of cars

I guess amongst other plus points of it, one good thing about cossie management is if your on a budget u can buy bits gradually over a time period rather than needing a grand up front. The only old parts that would have to be used would be the ecu, everything else u could if u wanted to spend the money, buy new.

you say the only old part you would have to by is the ecu!... the ecu is the main part!!! even then you would have to put a upto date pectel chip in so why not just buy the real thing?
my point is for the same money you can buy the real deal instead of bying something old and updating it!
you dont have to by eveything a once!

running a pectel board allows you to map with pectel software which takes all the hard work out of mapping, cuts the mapping time down to an hour or less, dont have to bother with load sites the base map will be there for cold start and part throttle you just have to map for full throttle, but to map with modern injectors ie siemens you have to do a live map which takes about a week due to the cold start part throttle mapping...this is the hard and time consuming part takes alot of skill.
for the majority of rs turbos cossie management with the pectel board is more then enough....

no you dont have to put a pectel board in but then you have to have it live mapped if you had a cossie with your normal stage 1,2,3 a then its just a case of buying a chip and injectors to run the different stage and there are so many maps for cossie that even you come away from the norm ie gt30 etc its highly likely there is a chip which will run the spec... with a pectel board you can run the pectel mapping software.. this makes mapping simpler and far cheaper if you go to jano he will have a base map so that your car can run then with the pectel software he can do you a custom map.. the only problem apart from the limited range of injectors say you had a problem in the map ie car seams to hold back a bit with a live map you can iron it out cant be done with the pectel software... but like i said for most of the rs turbos out there this system is great..
i had to do this over again its modern management for me

I'm looking to get 250 bhp from my car ( thats my goal) so of course i need management that will support this.

pectel t2 ecu is one of the best budget managements you can buy and its far from budget. it may not have all the silly features that you wont use but this is a proper motorsport ecu . must be mad to spend £1500/2000 on a secondhand ecu/wiring when you can have brand new and you will sell for a good price if you ever sell it.

t2 ecu is £650
custom wiring harness is £450
and a base map is about £100 to get you to the garage for a live map.
this can be supplied through area six motorsports ian howell at tech@fiestafrenzy.co.uk ,tell him paul from derby sent you

cheers paul
