You can buy a standard cam from motor factors still, around the £100 mark. Come with the tappets too IIRC

![]() CVH Camshafts/lifters are made from poor quality material in recent years, the only company in my experience making good quality cams/lifters are Newmans and your looking at around £290 for the kit.

I bought a standard one from a motorfactors and its pretty noisy after not many miles- my mate did the same not so long ago and his was still quiet right upto the day he sold it so very much luck of the draw ![]() Worth a punt for £100 imo as even though mine is a bit noisy it still pulls pretty well

motorfactors, mines quiet as, was a BGA one and i don't rate their parts anymore, £65 for the kit and i'm suprised it's not mega noisy yet.
done a few thousand miles without issues, quite surprised, maybe BGA can make a quality product afterall. |
