mk3 boot lids are more or less more squared than a mk4,mk4 has a slight curve in shape were the boot lock is,obviously people who dont know about escorts will not notice...

I tried a mk3 tailgate on my mk4 escort and they are slightly different, the locks are definetly different, as the mk4 lock doesnt fit.
