1.6CVH solid tappets clearances?????

can anyone please tell me what valve clearances i should be using as i have just fitted solid tappets to my 1990 escort 1.6 CVH RS turbo (MFI) and need to adjust them correctly

Hold on, have you fitted solid tappets to a hydraulic cam profile?

As above....i hope you haven't done that! If not then i'd phone the cam manufacturer and not take any old advice on here as it's fairly important lol

no, i have a head with an uprated cam and solid tappets which i bought from a scrap yard and i want to recon the head but dont know the make of cam so it sounds like i cant use it without knowing these details.....

Every cam is different so you'll need to take the dizzy off and get the number off the end of the camshaft and phone kent, piper or whoever makes the cam mate
