make sure the handbrake cable is fully backed off, then click the brake shoe adjusters out a click at a time using a couple of large screw drivers levering against the hub,(basically like how the brake cylinder applies the brakes) then try the drum on, aim for the drum going on so that you can just feel the shoes very lightly contacting the drum, but not so that its like the brakes are on

repeat for the other side then take the slack outta the handbrake cable

you may have another fault

i wouldn't think so if bled properly, don't take them out there there for a reason.

Thinking back to your first post, you could possibly have a seized wheel cylinder, but tbh if you aint sure what your doing with brakes then leave it to someone who knows what they are doing.

the thing thats puzzling me the most is that everything throughout the braking system is new bar the rear bias valves and servo...i have put everything on myself and they stop the car, its just the pedal has too much travel before they work..through a process of elimination i have ended up at the rear shoes
