Default bonnet catch

ive got bonnet raisers on my s2, and ws wonderin if there is anyway i can make the catch lock any better????

i want to keep the raisers on before any1 says take um off!!!!

If you take the catch (the part attatched to the bonnet) off and put some washers between the two surfaces, that should give the catch a little more 'reach'. I needed two washers, but my mate just needed one...

That's what i did anyway, takes a while as you have front to back and side to side adjustment on the catch as well, i marked the original position on the bonnet as a reference when re-fittting.

i got mine from burton for about 12 quid .
there really easy to fit just bolt them down to where the rubber gromits go what hold your bonnet to the right height and put a bit of grease on top of them.
close the bonnet so u get grease on the bonet where they sit.
drill it fill it ..then screw them down ..its a really east jobs and only tkes couple of hours or so...theres no way my bonnet will pop up now

I used a 10mm nut inbetween the 2 surfaces. Worked a charm. Just remember to remove them again when you remove the lifters/raisers

gaffer tapes a quick fix 10m nuts is the best idea
