Damn, i cant think what size they are.... but im sure someone will have the answer for you in no time atall.
But ive got Focal PolyKelvars in mine, i cant fault them atall and really like the way they sound, but theyre aroud £300 for the front components.
Just had a system put in my vectra aswell and gone again for the Focal PolyKevlar range of speakers.
Dont know if theyre be any good for you but try www.torquesystems.co.uk
Hope that helps

Thank you. Ive been checking out that picture but it still really isnt clear to me how they attach to the door etc. I think Id have to make my own brackets... was hoping to get a picture of them separate of the door and speakers.

I have 6 inch focals in the front and the back. You can buy plastic adaptors for both and they fit straight in with no fiddling. The original rears are 5x7 so i didnt want to squeeze/butcher 6x9s in there, plus i was advised not to get 6x9s.

are you using the autoleads ring adaptors from halfords..?
4 x 6" speakers will produce a nice sound as that is what i had in my evo, but had to make some metal plates to make them fit nie and airtight in that though

i have 6 1/2" jl audio in the doors, which were fitted with autoleads pods.
the only mod i had to do was cut off one of the clips on the back of the grill in the door card to clear the pod.
you can also fit the very same 61/2" in the rear with pods.
they mount from underneath the shelf which enables you to keep the standard grill.

the jl's i have have got foam on the back where they sit into the pods which seals them well.
the only thing i find is they make the door card and wing mirror rattle so i'm gonna get some dynamat to solve that problem.
the dynamat gives them a better punch to the sound.
hope this helps mate.

not going to be any amps on mine, just driven off the head unit - the paper cones of the std ford ones have disintergrated - they still work (amazingly) but obviously on borrowed time...

i don't want any amps in mine either. all that extra weight!
if you do get the audioleads pods, don't make the same mistake i did and assume they go in the same way as the standard ones.
they are the same shape as the standard ones but mount the opposite way round so the speaker lines up with the hole in the door.
made myself look a bit of an arse when i went back to the hi fi centre telling them they didn't fit!

He advised me not to go 6x9s and fit the focals instead.
