CV BOOT KITS
Thought you guys and girls may like to know this.
Went to order my Inner CV BOOT KIT from fords, these sre now on back order. So wether they are stopping to make them soon i dont know.
Ordered mine saturday, ill post up again when i recieve to tell you what the turnaround is.
Plus they dont sevice the small bezal plate for the window/boot switch on the centre console any more........B*****Ds.
Why do fords stop making parts for cars that are still servicable. so blooming annoying.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I'm currently on hold by my local Ford Main Dealer aswell, got an outer CV boot on the famous 'back order'! Ordered it last wednesday I think it was and have been in a number of times since to collect various other service parts, so while I'm there I obviously ask "got a date for my boot yet?" to which they reply "No not yet"!! How long am I going to be waiting exactly I wonder????

take the old one off and take it to a motor factors to see if they have one
the ones they list for the front inners are the worng ones in most cases so it's just a case of trial and error to keep the numbers handy when you DO find the right ones, not that the local backstreet bloke is going to understand that the one he's giving you is different to the ones you've got in your hand, even though they are nowhere near the asme size because "my book says it's that one so you must have taken the wrong one off"

i "think" the front outers are almost exactly the same as the rears
it's the inner that are a funny shape due to them being them lobro joints (the 3 round things poking into a slot in the inner cv knuckle)
give it till mod morning and i can put up some pics, better still, take some pics of the boot and you can see if you get the right ones or not
