As above, I personally thought that the Motorsport edition's didn't have them but I looked at a Large Turbo Motorsport version that had one, so clearly i'm mistaken!
Whats the difference between the different editions aswell, I can think of Motorsport, Lux & Monte Carlo...

Don't think so. Seen some original folders from dealerships and there are only lether and heated seats listed as optional and on later cars rear wing.

So now we've half established that English built Escort's didn't/shouldn't have sunroofs, what colours did the motorsport versions come in?

I'm after (not just yet, but soon) a Large Turbo Imperial Blue Escort Cos with no sunroof, I don't want the bloody sunroof as I will strip it and have a proper cage in there!
Might have to get a white one and respray it, will have to come apart for the cage to be welded in anyway!

Maybe you schould just buy stripped rallycar - will be cheaper and respray it? It's getting waste of money to strip good road cars this dys.

By the way - this one is probbaly free by your standards:
http://www.rajdy.hoga.pl/big_fot.asp...e.asp?id=48242
It's for sale for 18 000PLN which is about 3000GBP. It's Grp N rallycar, I wouldn't expect it to be in particularily good shape though. But there may be similar ones to be found in UK.

Doesn't look to bad, I think there's one for sale at the moment over here for about Ł8,500.00
Still alot cheaper than a second hand road going version I guess!

What you need is straight shell without any serious rust in the important elements. You proably would bin most of the suspention and transmission elements of road car, or have them checked over so they don't blow up on the track.

Good thinking, I would want to drive the bloody thing straight away tho lol, and having to build one up from a shell could still be a costly exercise!

So maybe y9ou just need race radyy, low spec rallycar. It will be registered, it will have MOT or whatever it's called and it schould be cheaper then road car, especially after FIA homologation for Escos ended.

You usually see mostly interior of you racing car. So who cares? It's nice if it looks nice, of course but it's more important to have lots of stickers there - stickers that pay :-D

I am joking too Of course I really like good looking cars, and even rallycaris much better if good looking. But it's most important for it to be good ride.
I'm not overly keen on stickered up cars, I know rally car's are but I hope mine to be more for the track and road then beating up round a forest or something lol

I don't rally like the WRC kit but it has it's areodynamic pluses, apart from removing rear visibility it can be nice as it is said to make the stability better when going sideways at high speeds ;-D
Anyway you need healthy body and good suspention, tramission and engine to pull it all, later you can take car about such extravaganza

so which one is the most expensive to buy, lux; monte; or motorsport? I'm trying to buy one, but first I have to know about them. Any help?
