Hi,

I have just fitted an RS500 intercooler in place of the original chargecooler. The two water pipes from the block to the chargecooler are now redundant and need to be replaced with a 180 degree elbow.

I have found one at demon tweeks, can anyone else who has an RS500 intercooler confirm that this is what I need ???, or another supplier ??

heard that roosesport do these and there better quality, anyone got an e-mail address for them ??? they also are in lincoln which is where i am so i can pick it up rather than the stupid £7.50 delivery at Tweeks for a pipe !!

Ah I understand now, a mate at the mo has it as he is trying to size it up to fit it to a turbocharged mini !!!

If you want a charge cooler off an escort i have one sitting here.

I got a u bend made from Roose and it was really good.

You connect it to the pipe coming out of the thermostat and connect it to the metal pipe that goes over the exhaust manifold carrying the water out of the heater matrix.

About £25 iirc.

Thanks for the info Dave, I suppose i was being a bit tight as the samco pipe is something like 15 quid, but can't believe they wanted £7.50 to deliver. I live in lincoln which is where Roosesport are (have no idea where mind) and thought if the pipe was still about 15 quid i could pick it up.

I'm in no real rush now as i was bleeding the brakes yesterday and the bleed nipple sheared off ... typical !!

I think Azrael was talking about the small piece of samco being £25 !!

But £60 quid for that chargecooler is a bargain !!!!, i've been told around £100 is average !!
