Default Advice on Escort Cos if possible

Hi Folks,

Put my engine in finally yesterday, all seems ok, ish but have a few problems to iron out and wondered if any of you more experienced Cossie chaps could assist.

1. Car ticks over at 2k constantly, can i simply reset this ?
2. Oil pressure light on dash coming on but the other on dash reads way off the scale, assume a wiring problem ?
3. Each time i change gear, the car coughs and splutters badly then it clears once the revs climb, if i feather the throttle its ok, could this be a fuel related issue. Running greys and uprated fuel pump.

Harvey Gibbs engine etc etc so its probably not down to this.

Any help most welcomed.

Thanks
Richard

joys of a ford drive a couple miles away from your home take packed lunch and a flask call the aa and get her relayed to scs. and get a train home or summit then pick her up all sorted, you could spend hours messing around and still not get her right.

Lol, sounds about right, but think i have an air leak, so that will get sorted.

Where is the best place to buy a heat shield from, mine is a T34 ?

Thanks

Think i will just go for the standard one from Fords then, Graham Goodes carbon one is 225 quid, so im not paying that.

Thanks mate for the tips.

Try Mike Rainbird for a carbon cover, he's cheaper than GGR!
