I think you have got to do rears first and keep going, they can be a bigger, you may need to run it up and drive it on the drive back and forwards then start again. I think you can bleed the master etc too by releasing the threads then nip them up

Mine are a bit like it. I tend to run the vacuum bleed system and pump the pedal

Did you do anything other than changing the discs and pads? As for discs and pads there is no reason to bleed the brakes afterwards. If the pump keeps running there must be something wrong. It either can't reach the required pressure (bad pump or internal leakage?), or it thinks it can't reach the pressure (broken pressure switch).

Was everything working correctly before you changed the discs and pads?

I have got spares for all of this if you get stuck, I have pumps, abs blocks, loom, pedal boxes etc.

Cheers caddyshack and marcsierra everything was working fine ive changed the fronts from std to 6 pots but they bleed ok the rears i fitted an mt motorsport 300mm kit which reqs changing the flexi brake pipe to the caliper prior to this no probs now pump is going constant and no pressure for fluid coming out of the rears just a dribble

I doubt it but do the pumps ever have an issue if they cannot flow enough fluid to fill the 6 pots AND the rears...unlikely as once the volume is full then the pressure should be about similar.

If you are in doubt about the pump efficiency you can borrow one of mine to try, it is only one plug and a fitting. I will have the Sealey pressure jobby this week if you get stuck and need a hand. I am not all that far from Gosport.

Copied from the other thread: I just used the sealey pressure one and used the Vac on the other end. It was a little slow to start and I have noticed that the rear bleed nipples need to be quite a long way out, not just a nip to undo, I mean a long way out and then the fluid began to flow, I don't have the cossie master but a few pumps and I was turning down the nipple and all was good so top tip....check the bleed nipples are further out than you think necessary!

For £40 you would not be sorry to own the Sealey tool!
