Best position Dumpvalve
Hey People,
I was wondering...what is the best position for the dumpvalve...???
The coldside, or the "hot" (turbo) side??? And why???

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Ford had the original cosworths with the dump valve on the 'hot' side of the intercooler, on the RS500 they moved it to the 'cool' side.
I don't know the reason for this, one advantage would be that the lower air temps would mean the diaphragm would last longer.

the reason is because the pressurewave that comes from the damper when the boost is up, it starts from the damper and travel along the air backwards towards the turbo (thats why u hear the chattersound on some cars), this pressure wave is not good for a turbo to get because it has to downrev really fast =not good for the bearings
and u got another reason u have much easier to "dump" cold air because cold air need less space (and u have to pressure set the IC again if u have on hot side)
