Default Bit of advice please

Went to look at ANOTHER escos yesterday and it was quite nice. K reg, pacifica blue, 56k, stage one chip, konis and twin headlights.

But on both rear arches, just on the inside lip there is slight rust starting and also on the bottom corners of the front wings (where they curve in)

Is this common for these cars? Is it easily sorted (ie bodyshop)?
Do any of you have this or have had it?

Thanks again.

think its the most common area to go mate. mine has gone in the same place. have been told by my cussin (he works in a body shop) that it is an easy fix as long as you get it done asap.

I don't think it is common for rear arches to rust as they are 'lipped' as for the fronts yes they tend to be hammered by all the stones. This is a relatively cheap fix.

Cheers guys.

A.Moore, you said its a relatively cheap fix, how much of the wing do they need to spray to blend it in?

Any good bodyshops local?

best to paint the whole wing prices vary but expect to pay + Ł150 a wing for a decent job

Oh, is it not easier just to paint and blend in the lower section? (like upto the side repeater?)

It is possible just to spray the arch lip.I certainly wouldn't want to paint a whole wing and risk a mismatch! You can have the arch lip firstly sprayed with an 'impact' rubberised sealer which can then be overpainted as this will resist future rust from forming.
