Different Types of Speedo Cable?
I'm having a bit of a problem with a replacement speedo cable - it is a T5 gearbox from a Sierra Cosworth but is going to an aftermarket speedo (it's in a Fisher Fury kit car), mine is a metal surround like these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIERRA-SAP...item3cd3db08f6
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speedo-Cab...61252385014%26
The part I have received is like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-SIERR...item45f5ea0b83
The OD is pretty much identical to the socket on the speedometer itself and therefore won't fit.
Some digging indicates it may be a standard Sierra cable rather than a Cosworth but I'm not entirely sure? Does anyone know more than me about this?
Thanks
James

I see, thanks a lot. The one I bought was this:

Which looks correct - so that pic is for a T5 and the plastic ones with the click are for an MT75. Odd that the gearbox end isn't the bit that changed even though the gearbox governs the type!

Yes indeed I mean the speedo end, at the end of the day I guess the spinny bit just connects to the other spinny bit by whatever means (if we're getting technical ) - Thanks for the info
