Default tappin from underneath

My esc cos taps and it sounds like it is coming from underneath the car, when you rev it slightly it obviously taps faster but it doesnt sound like its from the engine? Any ideas?

have you had a new exhaust fitted as this could be problem. i had a similar thing happen on an rs turbo i had. The pipe kept tapping the under side of the car on start up and i think it did them same when rev'd hard.

If the tapping is increasing and decreasing with RPM then there is a very strong change it is engine related.

Yeah i mean i thought it was the engine as it does tap faster when you rev it. Havent fitted a new exhaust. The clutch is out (off the pedal) but when you are driving and you put the clutch down it goes.

Ah, you have a rattling clutch release bearing.Mine does this sometimes after a hard rag, not really something to worry about but change it when you do your clutch next.
