Any Escos owners from Oz on here??
Finally got my Visa to move to Oz and had pretty much given up on the idea of exporting the car with me, however I know there are a few Cosworths over there for sale that are big money. Do these cars sell and if I brought mine over would I be able to sell it and make a profit taking into account the £8,000 charges to get it there and paying all taxes etc.
I would need to clear approx £28k to make it worthwhile and I have seen cars with a lot more miles than mine up for sale for £40,000ish but not sure if they ever sell?
Any thoughts Aussie RS owners
some pics for reference

Im just following up on the recommendation made to me a week back.
You've got too many cars already Aaron, im just looking for one that can be driven
Matt I would not plan on selling the car easily here, I am looking for an escos but have no illusiion that some one would be mad keen wanting to pay a lot for it if I sold it.
If you bring it out plan on keeping it for a while.
If you wanted to make some money, you would probably be better bringing a 3 door, they have the reputation out here from touring car days.

Oh well, cheers guys, it does seem that it may be more hassle than I want, it's going to be bad enough moving everything else over, I don't want the hassle of it sitting round unsold as I may be tempted to use it and the condition of the underside would start to go off
It's not like it won't sell here easily I just wanted as much money as possible for it to set me up in Oz.

I haven't used it for over 3 years and have finally come to the conclusion that I need to move on when I come over to Oz.

G'day mate,
I came over 7 years ago and bought a 3dr and a RS500 with me and had no problem selling either for about double what they were fetching in UK at the time.
But my mate bought his Mallard escort out and hasn't had any reasonable offers on it, He has been here 8yrs and still has it.
They normally get advertised at $60k but have heard of them going for $45k ish
Not many people know what they are doing with them here so if you can't maintain it and work on it then I wouldn't bother.
Gold coast is nice I live in Tasmania now but still have a place in Labrador CBD. Loads of people from Uk car scene are now over here.
Good luck with your move.
Regards
Mark

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
If all you want to do is sell it then my advice would be to sell it before you come over. It is too good for over here they just wont pay what its obviously worth. You have alaeger demograph over in the UK.
